Some can be reached by walking or cycling.<\/div>\n<div>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Cesar Chavez park<\/strong> (Berkeley Marina, 30min hike), stunning at sunset, great walks<\/li>\n<li><strong>Fire Trail<\/strong> (Berkeley), entrance a little before Botanical garden (3h hike)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Tilden Park<\/strong> (Berkeley hills): wild cat canyon hike, inspiration point (1h20 hike)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Lake Anza<\/strong> (Berkeley hills): 30 min hike; It is gorgeous, and a place of quiet; excellent if you want to bring a book<\/li>\n<li><strong>Huckleberry preserve<\/strong> (Berkeley\/Oakland skyline boulevard, 1h hike)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Mountain View cemetery<\/strong> (Oakland, 1h): great views of the bay, solemn setting but not spooky.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Pinole Point<\/strong> (Richmond, 1h30 hike), wonderful at sunset<\/li>\n<li><strong>Redwood regional park<\/strong> (1\u20132 hours) many trails, very varied landscapes<\/li>\n<li><b>Pinehurst East Ridge<\/b> (start from Pinehurst Staging area &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/qta1sNNQeWPwwq7M9\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/qta1sNNQeWPwwq7M9', 'map']);\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/qta1sNNQeWPwwq7M9&source=gmail&ust=1594501123163000&usg=AFQjCNHaRxayScx_vTXTGV3L3QULwEyv0Q\">map<\/a>)<\/li>\n<li><strong>Briones Crest trail loop<\/strong> (Orinda, 4 hours, or Lafayette Ridge staging area is open. It&#8217;s a very long hike, and portions can be steep. Maybe they&#8217;ll open. I LOVE this one. In the meantime, you may be able to enjoy wading in the river in a <a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/KTNGVLd6gWfy53Mz6\" onclick=\"_gaq.push(['_trackEvent', 'outbound-article', 'https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/KTNGVLd6gWfy53Mz6', 'few locations']);\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" data-saferedirecturl=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/url?q=https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/KTNGVLd6gWfy53Mz6&source=gmail&ust=1594501123163000&usg=AFQjCNEqmekq2HHcEu5gT58lTXCyTpQzvQ\">few locations<\/a>; the drive is also quite nice)<\/li>\n<li><b>Bodega Bay Trailhead<\/b> (1h from Berkeley, gorgeous sights of the ocean.
